Hi,

A week ago, firebrid2 entered testing.

This happened because of the great support of Christopher Martin, who also sponsored the upload.

Recently firebird2 packages were way behind upstream and there were no active maintenance. This is changing, as I am taking the maintainership and I intend to keep firebird2 in good shape and current. 1.5.2-8 is to be released soon.

Francesco P. Lovergine promised to sponsor the uploads, so there really is no reason for firebird2 to be in bad shape.
